    EXIN's SIAM Certification provides validation of a professional's knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Service Integration and Management. The EXIN SIAM Certification focuses on the management of multiple service providers and the integration of their services into a single, unified business-facing IT organization. SIAM stands for Service Integration and Management. It's a methodology used to manage multiple service providers and to integrate them seamlessly to provide a single business-facing IT organization. It deals with challenges associated with outsourcing and ensuring that the disparate services are coordinated effectively and efficiently. Why is it important? As organizations increasingly rely on a mix of outsourced and in-house services, there is a clear need to effectively manage these multiple providers to ensure that the combined services meet the business requirements. SIAM provides a framework and set of practices for this purpose. EXIN offers a Foundation and a Professional level for its certifications.

EXIN SIAM™ Foundation validates a professional’s knowledge about bringing together multiple service providers to strive for a common goal in order to support the client organization’s agreed objectives for service delivery. This certification includes the following topics:

  • Introduction to SIAM
  • SIAM implementation roadmap
  • SIAM roles and responsibilities.
  • SIAM practices
  • Processes to support SIAM
  • SIAM challenges and risks

  • Accreditation examination provided by EXIN.
  • The exam is a closed book examination
  • 60 minutes in duration and consists of 40 multi-choice questions.
  • Successful candidates will need to score 26 (65%) or more out of 40 to pass.
  • Requirements for certification:
  • A Service Integration and Management (SIAM™) Foundation training is the recommended preparation for the certification exam.
  • Also recommended is knowledge of IT Service Management terminology, for instance through the EXIN IT Service Management based on ISO/IEC 20000 certification.

The EXIN SIAM™ Professional certification tests a candidate’s knowledge of the application of SIAM™ to situations and the candidate’s ability to further analyze the SIAM concepts in the following areas:

  • The Discovery and Strategy stage
  • The Plan and Build stage
  • The Implement stage
  • The Run and Improve stage
  • SIAM practices across the stages

It also tests a candidate’s knowledge and skills of the activities in the four stages of the SIAM roadmap. A candidate who successfully completes the EXIN SIAM™ Professional can analyze, plan, build and inspect a multi-service provider environment.

  • Accreditation examination provided by EXIN.
  • The exam is a closed book examination
  • 1 hour and 30 minutes in duration and consists of 40 multi-choice questions.
  • Successful candidates will need to score 26 (65%) or more out of 40 to pass.
  • Requirements for certification:
  • Service Integration and Management (SIAM™) Foundation and Professional accredited training, including successful completion of the Practical Assignments are the recommended preparation for the certification exam.
  • Delegates must have passed the SIAM Foundation accreditation examination.
  • Also recommended is knowledge of IT Service Management terminology, for instance through the EXIN IT Service Management based on ISO/IEC 20000 certification.
