EXIN SIAM Foundation

Service Integration and Management (SIAM™) Foundation validates your understanding of SIAM terminology, core principles, and how to integrate and govern multiple internal/external service providers to deliver end-to-end services. The program aligns to the Scopism SIAM™ Foundation Body of Knowledge (2nd ed., 2020), which is the required reading for the exam.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

  • Build a solid grasp of the main SIAM concepts and processes used in organizations.
  • Recognize the key stages of a SIAM implementation (Discovery & Strategy; Plan & Build; Implement; Run & Improve) so you can plan roll-outs effectively.
  • Determine roles and responsibilities and understand SIAM layers/structures to operate in hybrid, internally or externally sourced models.
  • Select and apply SIAM practices across people, process, measurement, and tooling (e.g., building a tooling strategy; enabling end-to-end reporting).
  • Reduce risks in integrated services and connect SIAM with other practices (ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000, Agile/Agile SM, DevOps, COBIT, Lean).

FOR ORGANISATIONS

  • Better service to end-users via coordinated providers and smoother handoffs.
  • Cost efficiency and reduced redundancy through streamlined multi-sourcing.
  • Clear accountability with defined roles and performance responsibilities.
  • Greater flexibility & faster change response by structuring a cohesive SIAM ecosystem.
  • Risk reduction across integrated services and improved service provision by linking SIAM with existing frameworks.
